We found this chest at our local goodwill. Ryan actually spotted it when he was looking for the dining room chairs I should have bought when I saw them the first time (still mad at myself for that one).
|
|
The inside is in really good shape, and the whole chest is built really well. |
|
The finished project, after 6 cans of espresso spray paint and some new hardware, the whole project cost us about $60.00!!! |
|
Still not sure of the location for it though. Any thoughts??? |

I think it looks best under the mirror. Great metamorphosis! I really like the color you painted it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful transformation!
ReplyDelete(who would ever paint that beautiful chest purple? : )
Looks like the inside is cedar....perfect place to store blankets, etc.
I have my grandmother's at the end of my bed, but I like yours under the mirror, as it is taller.....but either place is gorgeous.
(stopping by from BNOTP )
That is so lovely. Looks like it cost a lot more than the $60. I liked it at the foot of the bed but I'm sure you'll find the perfect place. Have a wonderful evening.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful piece! Nice find! It could work in any room. If you have room, you can place it at the foot of your bed. You did a great job bringing it back to life.
ReplyDeleteJust love what you did, very intersting piece that could go anywhere and be perfect!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty! Espresso spray paint, eh.....
ReplyDeletelooks great. I prefer it at the end of the bed - I've got one there too.
ReplyDeleteI like it off to the side, myself. Wow, someone painted it purple?
