Good Bye Purple People Eater!!!

Crafty Hearts is participating in Metamorphosis Monday, check out all these other marvelous makeovers HERE

We found this chest at our local goodwill.  Ryan actually spotted it when he was looking for the dining room chairs I should have bought when I saw them the first time (still mad at myself for that one).

The inside is in really good shape, and the whole chest is built really well.

The finished project, after 6 cans of espresso spray paint and some new hardware, the whole project cost us about $60.00!!!
Still not sure of the location for it though.  Any thoughts???

  2. I think it looks best under the mirror. Great metamorphosis! I really like the color you painted it.

  3. Beautiful transformation!
(who would ever paint that beautiful chest purple? : )
Looks like the inside is cedar....perfect place to store blankets, etc.
I have my grandmother's at the end of my bed, but I like yours under the mirror, as it is taller.....but either place is gorgeous.

  4. That is so lovely. Looks like it cost a lot more than the $60. I liked it at the foot of the bed but I'm sure you'll find the perfect place. Have a wonderful evening.

  5. What a beautiful piece! Nice find! It could work in any room. If you have room, you can place it at the foot of your bed. You did a great job bringing it back to life.
