Getting Warm out....time for some online swim suit shopping!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Express for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Today I spent my first morning of spring break sipping on my coffee clicking away though different online shops looking for some warm weather swim suit inspiration  I am in love with online shopping for swim suits because you get to order what you like and then try them on IN YOUR OWN HOME.  This way you don't have to come out of the dressing room looking for your husband who is way over on the other side of the store, trying to wave him down to come tell you what he thinks. Oh, that doesn't happen to you?
I got a little distracted and went to my favorite place to buy clothes instead http://www.express.com/, I shop at Express all the time, not only for going out clothes but also for teaching clothes.  Their clothes are classy, stylish, wash nice and last.  I had no idea they had a swim suit line!
Here is a link to their New spring swim wear line women's swimwear
Check out all their fabulous suits and before you buy sign up for their email for a chance to win $200.00 in Express
gift cards sweepstakes rules.  Also with signing up with Express email you will get 15% off your first purchase!!  Check it out here Express e-mail
This one is my favorite.... I am lovin ruffles lately and this suit couldn't be more perfect for our trip to Vegas!!!   Hh

My basement dweller husband...

Ryan is determined to get this basement done, especially with the mudding and sanding.  I am ready for it to be done too and I'm not even doing any of the dirty work.  We have drywall dust in every crevice of our house and all I can keep doing is whipping down the kitchen counters and saying "I'm ready for this to be over!!!"  Mudding isn't even the slightest bit fun, you cant see any change except for smoother white walls instead of dry wall (again, I'm talking like I'm actually doing the mudding)
Tiling this weekend....which I will be helping with:)

It's been awhile....

It hasn't been on purpose by any means, I've just been resalin' my little heart out looking for new treasures for our basement! I can not wait to show you all the wonderful buys. I will defiantly do a whole post on all the things I have waiting/sitting in our spare bedroom to make over for our basement. Our whole goal is to only buy a NEW couch, everything else will be up-cycled:) With that said, I have been doing a lot of inspiration surfing lately. I want to make sure the basement goes well with the rest of our house. It is also important to Ryan and I that we base it around family even though right now it's just the two of us. We are constantly thinking about what we will need in the space once there is more then "us" in the picture. It needs to be practical and feel homey. Here are a few sites I've been checking stalking the past few weeks...

http://homepodge.com/home-improvement/popular/1
I like this one because it has a lot of random decorating, with lots of pictures (I'm very visual)

http://www.roomzaar.com/rate-my-space/Basements/gallery.esi
Basements, Basements, and more Basements!  These are all done by real people and not an amazing designer who has an unending amount of money.  I always check out the highest rated ones first:)

and who doesn't love Young House Love??  If you haven't checked out this adorable couple's blog, it's a must see.

whelp, there you have it!  That's what I have been busy with, but I promise I will not be a stranger any more.  Keep checking back for new basement photos....there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Last Part of the Laundry room

Again, forgot to take a before picture:(  Ryan had already put these shelves in before I said "oh WAIT....I forgot to take a before pic"  Sorry, just picture this space with no shelves:)

Now I just have to find 4 matching baskets that are NOT $20 a piece!  I just think that's crazy!

Basement Update

Here is an update of our basement...the ongoing project:)  We actually decided to have a super bowl party and are now wishing the basement was completely done for all of our guest, but luckily it is close enough to have people enjoy the game down there:)

It's getting there:)  More pictures to come:)

Some Heart Day Love

Snowed in inspiration....I decided to Valentine up my house...

My box-o-crafts, I'm not lucky enough to have a craft room yet (it's on the list)  so this will have to do.  Since we are SNOWED IN today, I had to use what I got...time to get creative
Before the heart-day decor

And After

Before

and after, just used some scrap book paper to make the hearts

Got this idea from ROUNDABOUT you can check out here great creative blog and Etsy shop  http://roundaboutshop.blogspot.com/2011/02/blizzard-update.html

New table centerpiece made with things I had in the craft box and around the house

I used a frame I had, it was brown so I just gave it a little white spray paint and then made the hearts from scrap book paper

I made the moss heart with some floral wire and moss

Some Before and Afters of our home

This page is a work in progress, but it will give you an idea of what we have been working with.  We bought our house 3 years ago and there was no way we could live in it with the condition it was in.  It took lots of hours and lots of love to get it to where it is now, and anyone who owns a home knows..the job is never done.  Check out some of our before and after pictures HERE
